As we usher in the era of revolution, environmentally sustainable strategies, cooperation in logistics across the borders and the Smart port are the outstanding current issues in the global cooperation in logistics. Under the theme of ‘Innovations to Expand Horizons’ in the 6th BIPC, we would like to share the future visions of global port logistics.

Especially, the reshuffle of shipping alliances is likely to cause the uncertain impact on the port industry. In this session, prospects on shipping & port industry in this world of uncertainty will be discussed by the related experts.

Session Ⅱ [Topic] Strategies to be Environmentally Sustainable Ports
In line with IMO regulations to reduce air pollution from maritime sector, port & shipping industries have been trying to reduce harmful impacts on the environment. In this session, the directions of environment-friendly policies, especially focusing on the air quality, LNG-fueled container ships, LNG bunkering and eco-efficient equipment, by port authorities, global energy corporations and terminal operators will be discussed.

In order to achieve improvements in transport efficiency, the importance of horizontal cooperation between neighboring nations has increased in line with government policies of each country. In this session, regional strategies to expand economic cooperation in Northeast Asia especially focusing on port and logistics will be discussed by the related experts such as research institutes, government officials and international organization.

In this session, opinions and ideas of Smart Port, especially focusing on automation and Blockchain platforms, by shipping lines, container terminal operators and technology companies will be shared.
